The Good Old Days are NOW...

We just got in from playing out in the yard and there is just nothing like it. So many people say that this generation is only run by technology and stuck to the t.v. Well, I beg to differ! I just got to watch a t.v. episode in real life as I watched the kids play monster and run from "castle" to "castle" defending themselves against the "yogurt monster". (Really, climbing onto the neighbors' play set and then into our tent that's still outside from the camp out Friday night. And the yogurt monster is David, our neighbor, who was eating yogurt and got more on his face than in his mouth.) Yes, I should have gotten pictures. I definitely will next time...you'll have to stay tuned for the next episode to see what happens:)

So, here's a shout out to the neighborhood kids from my neighborhood growing up, Eagle's Rest, who played kick the can and bail off our front porch. To the many laughs had at the dock and skiing on the lake. I hope my kids will be able to enjoy the same wonderful memories of growing up outside with neighbors and friends. The "good old days" are now.
